Our Governing Body is made up of nine Governors: 6 NET Appointed, 1 Ex-Offico (the Principal), 1 Parent, 1 Staff

Meetings will also normally be attended by The Vice-Principal and the School Business Manager.

Hilton Primary Academy Governing Board has one sub-committee which is the Finance /Procedures Sub-Committee – which reports to the Board. The Governing Board and Finance / Procedures Sub-Committee meetings are each held on a termly basis.

Hilton Primary Academy follows the portfolio model of Governance.

When Governor vacancies arise parents will be notified through the school newsletters and are encouraged to apply for these positions. A ballot will be held if applications exceed vacancies.

The Governing Body has signed the NGA code of practice for governors which includes the seven principles of Public Office which guide work.
