Operation Encompass Drop In Session – Thursday 12th September

OPERATION ENCOMPASS DROP IN SESSION FOR PARENTS AND CARERS FROM 3:30PM (THURSDAY 12TH SEPTEMBER)

Hilton Primary Academy has been taking part in a Home Office approved project being led by Northumbria Police, in partnership with Barnados and Operation Encompass.

The project named Operation Encompass, The Next Steps, aims to form part of a wider strategy to break the cycle of Domestic Abuse through education and support.

The project helps students learn the importance of friendships, relationships, emotions and rules so they can live and work together safely.

Our school also benefits from having a School Safeguarding Liaison Officers, Megan Farrelly, who has begin to deliver age appropriate material on domestic abuse, friendships, relationships and emotions.

She is also available in school for an arranged drop in session so that parents can talk about issues they may have around relationships and domestic abuse.

Our first drop in session will be held in school from 3:30pm on Thursday 12th September. If you would like to take advantage of this please report to the Main Visitors Reception at 3:20pm where a member of staff will show you to the designated room. This will be done with as much confidentiality as possible and children will have an area where they will be cared for.

Hilton Primary Academy is a member of the Northern Education Trust.
We constantly focus on standards as we understand outcomes are paramount. Our decision making is driven entirely by what is best for children. By doing this we enhance the life chances of the children and young people in our care.
